1. Alyssa Lynch vs Kyra Santoro (Bantamweight)

BEFORE:
An odd match to open the night, but not to these two VIX girls, having to face-off against a stablemate becoming part and parcel of the stable’s history by now. Alyssa would be the one who remembers this history clearly, with some of the very first VIX-on-VIX matchups made popular due to her feud with Alexis Ren.
Tonight though, there’s no bad blood on the line, with two Bantamweights going at each other in order to determine the pecking order on our roster. Kyra Santoro coming off a recent win over fitness princess Allison Holker, and likewise for Alyssa Lynch who forced Israeli soldier Maria Domark into an early submission. It’s clear that they both have equal respect for one another: all smiles as they take their respective turns at the mic.
“Kyra’s a great training buddy and an even better competitor in the ring. I’m not gonna hold back tonight though, and I know that she won’t either. We’re just proud to be on the first match on the card tonight showcasing what we can do, and we promise to put on a show for all our fans,” Alyssa confidently starting with a smile on her face.
Kyra echoing her compatriot’s words, also declaring: “One thing good about fighting your teammate is that we both have become quite well-acquainted with each other’s strengths and weaknesses. It’s gonna be an interesting fight, for sure! I’m not gonna hold back either, so I hope you’re ready, Lyssa!”
“Hell yeah, I am. Let’s get this started!”
Girls meet at the center for the cameras first, smiling and shaking hands. Alyssa in an orange bikini and red gloves on, hair tied up in a neat ponytail. Kyra choosing to go with an off-white slash baby blue bikini top and bottom, black gloves on either hand.
We’re off to a contradictory start, if anyone has noticed, this first match far from exuding any sort of lawlessness unlike the namesake of the event’s title. Perhaps things will change once the bell rings! HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action and your first fight of the evening!
ROUND 1:
Kyra with some heady stuff early on - she targets Alyssa’s peripheral vision almost exclusively with jabs, intending to disrupt her rhythm from the start. And it works for a while: Alyssa grunting as she’s peppered on her guard and a couple of jabs land on her head. She’s trying to bang back, but Kyra absorbing a shots to the sternum before charging in again and shooting more at the face. Alyssa on the back pedal, trying to manage her troublesome stablemate here... Her experience certainly coming in handy in the last minute, managing to parry Kyra’s long shots in to the side or simply create enough distance to negate any damage. Kyra relentless (or stubborn) still, keeps on charging forward, instead takes a return flurry to the face as Alyssa ends this round with some final blood. She didn’t take this opening round, but doesn’t look too worried yet for Kyra’s lead.
ROUND 2:
True enough, Alyssa shows how she can equally hang and bang with the best. Kyra coming forward and taking the initiative early, resuming her punch routine, but doesn’t expect Alyssa to do exactly the same: both girls clashing in the center, hitting the head and swiping mitts at the body, but Alyssa slightly advantageous as she keeps her head down low and her guard almost always in front of her face. She waits for Kyra’s big hook to rattle into the side of the head before stamping forward and burying a left-right quick combo into the brunette’s body, driving her back a few steps at at time. Kyra finally getting wind of the disadvantageous situation, stops swinging blind and now huffing heavy breaths at a distance, groaning as her toned body taking a beating this round. Bell rings and it’s Alyssa with the comeback this time. Both girls end up smirking at each other as they head back to corners, knowing they’ve found themselves dead even with the conclusion of the second round.
ROUND 3:
More wild brawling here - wow can these girls throwdown when they need to! Kyra copying her friend’s strategy of holding firm her guard and then charging in to swing hooks to the body. Alyssa at first not prepared - certainly not for those double-swipes that land on her tummy in close quarters. But she keeps close to what she knows best as well: takes return swings at Kyra’s head when she’s busy down below, rattling her fellow rival towards the middle-mark of the round as Kyra goes stumbling to the side. Both girls having suffered in that brief exchange, but also dishing out mutual punishment. They spend the last minute of the round circling and jabbing from afar, taking the time to recuperate and catch their breaths. Round ends and we predict that this fight is still a dead on draw.
ROUND 4:
Fourth round and understandably they’re both starting to tire, continuing with the slow circling about for the first few seconds, until both Head Trainers at opposing corners start urging them forward in order to get in close to brawl. Both Steve Boyd and Corey Saucier continuing their own mutual rivalry behind the locker room doors. Not sure what the win-loss tally is at this point for both men, but certainly both trainers must be proud of the show their girls are consistently putting on. Alyssa initiating with another jab-jab at Kyra’s body and chest, drawing a low grunt from her lips, but Kyra not retreating, jabbing back but hitting at air when Alyssa bobs her head to the side to avoid. Frustrated, Santoro opts to take Corey’s advice quite literally, storming forward and swinging wild, hoping to get lucky here... Alyssa surprised by the sudden advance, takes an uppercut square to the sternum, then almost gets her head snapped back by another uppercut that instead lands hard on her arms. OUCH, regardless, as the force of that one blows her backwards and dangerously close to the ropes.. Alyssa stunned and vulnerable for a brief moment, enough time for Kyra to waylay her with more shots into the body, then paying her back with a surprise swipe across her chest, which sends out a squeal from her lips as she retreats all the way back to corner. Bell rings before Kyra can take full advantage, but no doubt in anyone’s mind that she’s proving to be the better fighter here tonight so far.
ROUND 5:
Alyssa warily circling left, perhaps fearful of her rival’s power after that last exchange in the fourth. But this just reveals her cards too early, giving Kyra the green light to charge in yet again. Lynch trying to hold her friend off with rapid jabs at her head and body whilst retreating, but Kyra not to be denied, wades in hard and fast, her gloves taking the brunt of the jabs and her abs taking a beating as well, but come on, have you seen them? Santoro shrugs off the blows like flies hitting windscreen, CHUGS a right hand straight into Alyssa’s body in payback, then continues swinging hooks into her sides. They’re of course banging off Alyssa’s guard now, as she desperately attempts to cover up. Kyra instead driving her back inch by inch into the ropes, now has her right where she wants her: their bodies pinned together as Lynch herself clinches up quickly, preventing a complete landslide from Kyra’s corner’s unadulterated attacks prior. Certainly more uppercuts would’ve buried Alyssa if she wasn’t quick enough to wrap arms around the chest and stick her cheek into the shoulder. Kyra still swiping those hands down low, pounding on the tummy as much as she can all the way until the bell rings. Some sympathy from one Vixen to another, but even Santoro can’t help but smirk a little as Alyssa lets out another moan as her tummy’s beaten on like a drum.
ROUND 6:
Spectators still looking for that elusive knockdown… could it be that both girls are so relentless and evenly matched that they refuse to go down? OR it could simply be both of them have been deliberately holding back the punches. Either way, tell that to either girl and they’ll be sure to shoot you some dirty stares, because HELL - have you seen the way these two are swinging at each other now?? Alyssa still gallantly striding forward at the opening bell, mouth open and hungry for both air and to punish Kyra head on. Fine by Santoro, who looks to finish what she’s started in the last round... Left hook from Santoro hits the guard, but then she takes a return hook to the sternum from Alyssa, who’s looking for some revenge here. Santoro undeterred, takes another swing at the head, but Alyssa ducking under at the most opportune moment, before drilling the body with more lefts and rights. Fourth such straight hand inwards has Kyra suddenly doubled over and backing away in abject pain and a concerned look on her face! UGHH. Alyssa’s turn to shine, and certainly she does, those eyes sparkling with opportunity. More jabbing at Kyra’s head forces her to cover up blind, as Lynch goes to work on the tummy again with hooks that BANG off the abs left and right! Kyra now the one forced into the ropes as Alyssa has no qualms of trapping her ‘friend’ with a forearm pinned to the throat, left hand just SMACKING into the belly over and over, as Santoro gets routed this time round! Last few seconds and Steve shouting at his girl to go all the way in for the kill…. Alyssa driving her hand upwards in order to snag the chin for a knockout uppercut, but she needs to get through that pesky guard first, and Kyra’s still stubbornly holding her arms firm. Vixen manages to clinch up at the last moment, denying Alyssa any room to attack, and the bell rings as both girls end the round panting in each other’s arms, mutual smirks face-to-face, as they wordlessly congratulate each other for making it thus far.
ROUND 7:
Good lord, folks. If this here’s the opening bout, how much more action are we anticipating tonight? Alyssa and Kyra both effectively tied in terms of points now, each taking turns taking advantage of the other girl. Kyra got herself battered last round, but last we checked, she’s the one with more muscle and certainly capable of taking a couple more shots to that toned body. Alyssa still determined to break her friend, it seems. Kyra slow out of gate by contrast - big mistake as Lynch seizes the initiative and flies forward! Kyra narrowly evading a right cross that’s aimed at her face, instead taking the brunt of it in the middle of her guard. Alyssa following up with another straight left hand that punctures the belly, drawing another groan from lips. Kyra of course fighting back, swinging equally if not harder, and you’d think that any of those hooks, if they actually landed, would have put any girl out of commission on the spot. But all that time in the gym training with one another must have really paid off: Alyssa swerving and weaving her torso under and back, avoiding most of Santoro’s counterattacks. Each time, she manages to shove another left or right into Kyra’s tummy, before alternating her punches with consecutive snap uppercuts into the chin! Kyra STUNNED after that third combination takes a toll too much on her! Groggily, she’s stumbling backwards, taking another one-two PUH PUH to the body as Alyssa literally steps in and lifts her off her feet like a deflated punching bag. With a moan, Santoro sinks down to her knees, face sliding down and then buried into her frenemy’s breathing paunch, as Alyssa secures the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening!
For a second it looks like Lynch might play devil’s advocate here and actually help Kyra back up to her feet in time, but no… Kyra not even helping herself to get back up aas she stays down on her knees, lips groaning into Alyssa’s belly as she struggles to even stand with the damage she’s taken! Referee hits the count of 10 and WAVES this fight OVER!

Bell rings for the last time and Alyssa finally reaching down and helping her friend up, an arm around her waist and another snug under the shoulder. They embrace for the longest time as they whisper encouragement into the ear, and it’s the sweetest moment any of us can remember in recent memory. Both girls continue supporting each other as they head back out of the ring and back down the ramp. One Head Trainer is grinning at his girl’s victory tonight, but honestly, the fans are the true winners after witnessing such a slug-fest!
