We’re LIVE from the Boston Garden Arena and we’re looking at a solid audience who’ve have paid big bucks to see some named celebrities punch the sh*t outta each other, or should we say, beat the snot out of each other.
Boston city aside, the Boston Garden known for its legendary boxing history in itself, hosting Boston Native ‘Honey Boy’ Dick Finnegan's 1928 defeat of Andre Routis. Of course, tonight the arena is host to the best of the best of British celebrities over this side of the ocean. And what better way to introduce them than by two famed Brits of the VIX roster themselves: please say hello to Ms Lily Collins and Ms Emma Watson!
Crowd goes wild at the mention of the two actresses, and the curtain rises on stage to find find both Lily and Emma sitting apart at a garden party set-up, tables and chairs all set for tea. They’re dressed for the occasion too: white and black slacks and loose blouses, summer hats protecting them from the bright lights instead of the sun.
Ms Watson of course the latest girl to join the VIX roster, and for those that recall, that famously didn't sit well with original Brit import Collins, who made her feelings known in their brutal welcome fight a few months ago. No secret today that there's still some bad blood between the pair, though at least they’re not tearing into each other on sight this time.
“Say, Emma dear, how's that rear end of yours after I knocked you on your arse the last time?” Collins rubbing salt into the wound as she lowers her tea cup and grins devilishly at her counterpart from across the coffee table, clearly wanting to remind her of who came out on top the last time they fought.
“Well, Lily,” Emma responds, clearly flustered and a little caught off-guard at going off-script. “If I recall, I beat you the first time round. So unless my math is off, I would say we’re even.”
“Tut tut, Ems,” Lily wagging a finger as rises from her chair and circles to the Emma’s back, who’s trying to look cool as a cucumber but can’t quite deny the feeling of being treated like helpless doe. “You're forgetting that I beat you in only eight rounds. If I remember, you took ten round to put me away the first time we fought…”
“So now we’re keeping score?” Emma retorts, half chuckling. “How about the fact that of all the people in the arena tonight, I’d bet more of them came to see me, and NOT you.”
Roar from the attendees more or less confirming this, leaving Collins red-faced and steaming as she tries to garner the same support for herself, but failing quite audibly. Embarrassed for a moment, that evil grin comes back to her face as fast as it evaporated.
“There you go, Watson, showing everyone who you truly are. Beneath that sweet, innocent exterior of yours is someone self-centered and narcissistic… They didn't come here to hear either of us banter. The fans came to support good old’ Great Britain, no?”
“There you go, Watson, showing everyone how naive you truly are. Beneath that sweet, innocent exterior of yours, however, is someone self-centered and narcissistic… You know as well as I do that the fans didn't come here to see either of us banter.”
“Why yes… Lily…” Emma regaining her composure in her voice now that Collins seemingly is willing to stick to the script. “Why don’t you start by letting everyone know what Brit-on-Brit action is on show tonight?”
“My pleasure, Twatson!!” Collins does exactly that, LUNGING at Emma from behind and latching onto her strawberry hair. Oh my - the two emcees descend into a wild tumble as they collapse onto the stage shrieking, slapping and tugging on hair. Emma trying to fend off the blows coming from Collins above, at the same time trying to shove her away with a rough kick to the sternum. Before both girls can reengage, the ‘proper’ officials are already rushing onto stage, separating the two vixens and preventing a rubber match right here and now.
One thing’s for sure: this night is off to a fabulous start, all that classiness and sophistication expected of our Brit celebrities on full display!
Emma and Lily will get their rematch soon enough. But for tonight, we DO have five kick-ass matches on the line-up. Once again, on the official match-card:
1. Felicity Jones vs Claire Foy (Flyweight)
2. Cara Delevingne vs Katrina Bowden (Lightweight)
3. Keira Knightley vs Ley Seydoux (Bantamweight)
4. Co-Main Event: Jessica Alba vs Alice Eve (Bantamweight)
5. Main-Event: Kate Beckinsale vs Meghan Markle (Bantamweight)
Last but not least, this event wouldn't be possible without the support of Empire Boxing, Lookout! Atlantic, Latin Union, Mirage Boxing and The Fighting Academy, who have generously loaned us their girls for the evening.
Without further ado, let’s get this tea party started!
