First of all, we want to say a huge thank you to everybody who participates with the FCBA on any level. This league truly is a team effort and this league absolutely wouldn't work without anybody who helps make it such an exciting and vibrant place. Everybody here is truly invaluable and we certainly can't imagine this league without the assistance of everybody here.
Second of all, we've had a lot of people join the FCBA recently and we're indebted to you all for coming to participate in our community. If you've come do to do so as a fan, we're very honored to have you take part in any way. Of course, if you're ever interested in taking a more active role as a writer, then by all means check out this other post about how to join the FCBA. We have so many amazing stables in the FCBA, but if you're genuinely interested in participating on a consistent basis, feel free to read the post and send us an e-mail.
However, this post is about something just as important, which is the FCBA Archives (Wiki)
If you're not familiar with this, this is an invaluable resource as it is integral to preserving the history and preserving the proud legacy of the FCBA. The board is almost (20) years old now, though it's survived several different iterations over the years until it's most recent form. Thankfully, it appears to be a safe and stable place for us to continue to enjoy things. If you have not taken the opportunity to check out the archives, then you should at the earliest opportunity. We're honest when we say we use that on a regular basis and are so grateful to all who have the ability to maintain it.
We want to take a quick moment to highlight those who have tirelessly worked on the Wiki over the years but especially, Archer and Vassago who have worked so hard to make this Wiki possible. Not only have they worked on the Archives, but they have also continued to write for the FCBA, which clearly is busier than ever before. As we have more and more matches, it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep up with the numerous matches that appear on here. It's a lot of effort to keep up with the matches as they're writing them too, but they have done that with superhuman hard work. Obviously, the Wiki is behind, but that's not due to any lack of diligence on their part.
We also want to take a moment to thank Dollhouse, who clearly has contributed quite a bit to this league already with so many efforts around the league such as the PPV Promotional Posters, Calendar, Hall of Champions and many other items that have made a big difference. Although his additions to the Wiki are more recent, they are no less appreciated and if you check out the revamped FCBA Archives page, it's absolutely improved. If you hadn't checked out the Wiki before, you may not notice them, but if you have you can see how things appear definitely more streamlined, you have the most recent rankings available on the front page, an updated Champions Archive and an improved Fighter Index to see everybody who has ever appeared in the FCBA - which is quite a list!
Now, if you have any interest in helping to maintain, update, improve and be involved with the FCBA Archives, please send us an e-mail. We'll be more than happy to put you in touch with Archer, Vassago and Dollhouse so that we can get you engaged. It's a lot of work to keep those FCBA Archives completely up to date, with the sheer amount of contact growing all the time. Not only did we just have an awesome FCBA PPV that you should have read by now, but a recent Asylum and this week we'll have an exciting 4th of July event, then we'll be setting up the next FCBA PPV and then other events throughout the month. It's a HUGE, but crucial job and we are grateful to anybody who is interested. We'll look forward hearing from you.
It's a job that we honestly feel is too big for three (3) people, though they are working hard to make improvements, but also get caught up and stay caught up. So, feel free to reach out if you're interested, but if not, just keep enjoying the FCBA! We appreciate everybody who comes to this site and appear hearing feedback, thoughts and comments from anybody who is involved. If anybody wants to be involved more so through writing or archiving, contact us anytime and if not - we'll keep doing this together as we always have. We can't say thank you enough to Archer, Vassago and Dollhouse for all of their work on the Archives and if I've forgotten to display our gratitude to anybody else who has assisted with the Archives recently or in the past, let me know and I'll make sure that everybody is aware of your contributions. I know it's often a thankless job, but not today.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
