Introductions:
New Stable:
VIXENs (VIX)
VIXENs actually began as an all-female MMA promotion in the WMMA league, officially titled VIXENs Caged Catfighting, with an emphasis on real combat combined with sports entertainment. This didn’t mean that the outcomes of fights were pre-determined or that the fighting was faked. Far from it: two fighters would enter the ring with scores to settle, and only one would walk out victorious. The drama and rivalries only made the action more intense.
This competitive streak naturally extended into the realm of boxing and of course, the FCBA league. Still a newcomer to this world of combat sport, with different rules and fresh competitors, the VIXENs have naturally stepped up to the challenge. Rest assured, they promise to resist kicking the crap or smothering the daylights out of the other girls - unless it's outside the ring, of course!
On behalf of Head Trainers Steve Boyd and Corey Saucier, VIXENs would like unveil our first slate of girls who will be competing in the FCBA league.
Below are excerpts from interviews conducted from the fighters in early September.
Bantamweights
#1 Kyra Santoro - 5’7, 116 lbs
Q: Please tell us a little about your background?
I’ve been a model for a few years now - you may have seen me as a New Face in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2016.
Q: Any combative competitive experience?
I train 5 days a week in boxing and cardio, but apart from my workout routine, If you’re referring to my 21-3 fight record over in WMMA, I think that counts as plenty of experience.
Q: Who have you set your eyes on in the FCBA?
Anyone who’s up for the challenge! I think my manager has short-listed Allison Williams and Emily Ratajkowski as potential opponents. I say bring-it-on!
#2 Alyssa Lynch - 5’7, 120 lbs
Q: Who are you again and why should we care?
You may have seen me in The Chainsmoker’s music video, Closer. Go check it out here, but I swear - the next person who asks me to return their mattress back in Boulder… *makes a fist*
Q: Typical workout routine?
Cardio, self-defence and kick-boxing. Oh, and I do plenty of weights. I’d bet I can lift more than you *points at camera*
Q: Who does Alyssa Lynch want to ‘lynch’ first?
*laughs* Would you kill me (as both our managers) if I told you I would like really like to take a shot at Alexis Ren? She's only 2cm taller and the girl thinks the world belongs to her?
Lightweights
#3 Nina Agdal - 5’9, 123 lbs
Q: Wait, haven’t we seen you before?
You’re talking to the Cover Girl of the 50th Anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. So yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve seen me without clothes before.
Q: Tell us about your experience in the FCBA so far.
I’m the only one on this roster who has had two fights so far, and that makes me the most experienced of this lot.
<Interviewer mentions they were both losses to other models>
So the f*ck what? We all start somewhere. One day, I’m coming for you, Decker.
Q: What makes you a perfect fit for VIXENs?
They promised to turn my losing streak around and translate it into some well-deserved wins. I mean, just look at me *gestures*. I deserve to be up there with the rest. Also, in VIX, the style’s more casual and free-form. That appeals to me. I may not always dominate in the ring, but when a girl pisses me off…
#4 Luisana Lopilato - 5’7, 125 lbs
Q: Hola! Your name sounds very Spanish. Are you a native speaker?
Unfortunately, that’s a common misconception. I’m a native of Argentina. We just happen to speak Spanish too.
Q: Why have you come to the FCBA?
We have some of the most beautiful women in the world in Argentina as it is, and believe me, I’ve gone against some of the best fighters in the South American boxing leagues. It’s time to test myself against the rest of the world, and the FCBA is perfect for that.
#5 Alexis Ren - 5’9, 117 lbs
Q: Hey, are you famous or something?
Have you been living under a rock or something? Go Google my ass. Or does 6.5 million followers on Instagram not sound impressive enough for you?
Q: You don’t look like much of a fighter. Explain to the viewers why they should take you seriously.
Tell that to my fist when it’s the last thing you see. Look, in the MMA world, I’m a two-time Lightweight Champion. Time magazine’s called me the ‘next big thing’ in modelling, and keep a look out for next year’s 2017 Sports Illustrated magazine.
Then we'll talk.
Q: Who is first up to the plate?
I’m willing to face anyone and everyone. Are we done here?
Welterweight
6. Hannah Ferguson - 5’9, 130 lbs
Q: Give us a little bit about your background?
I’ve modelled for SI for three years in a row now. *laughs* They somehow just keep calling me back…
Q: Describe your fighting style?
I grew up in a military family - both my parents are from the Marine Corp - and they basically taught me everything I know today. I’m more of a scrapper or a brawler or whatever you wanna call it. I get in your face and punish you up close. My dad and three brothers taught me how to dominate or be dominated.
Q: Anything you would you like to say to the girls of FCBA?
Whatever weight you’re in, I’m up for a challenge. Just remember, I am not one for showing mercy and expect none in return.

I hope the girls' comments didn't rub you the wrong way! In summary:
Two girls enter the ring, only one comes out victorious. VIX is open for business.
