Chloe Bennet versus Emily VanCamp

BEFORE: Without question, this has been one of the better recent rivalries in the FCBA - fit brunette versus fit blonde, with two of their matches already proving instant classics and fans showing up tonight hoping this will be another. Their first match, already one of the most viewed matches in league history, was also the LONGEST match in FCBA, with both fighters taking one another to seventeen rounds before Emily managed to emerge triumphant. But, once Emily managed to regain the bantamweight belts, she needed to prove she was better than Chloe. Unfortunately for VanCamp, she didn’t as Bennet ripped the belts for her in another hard-hitting contest and has held the belts ever since. Emily has fought her way back into contention and when there was a discussion of who to face at the 10th Anniversary PPV, there was only one name Emily ever brought up: Chloe Bennet.
“I’m honored…” Chloe says with a grin, “Emily has been around for a while and made a lot of enemies, but out of all those, sounds like I made quite the impact on her. I plan on making another one tonight. VanCamp needs to learn who is better and that’s me. I could care less about the titles, though I do love holding them to prove I’m the best bantam around, but tonight, it’s about me and her. Ems is going to learn I’m tougher one round at a time and when it’s all over, I’ll be standing over her. Again.”
Emily’s eyes narrowing as she manages a wry little smile, “I won’t deny that Chloe is pretty talented at getting underneath your skin and into your head. She is one of the toughest girls I’ve ever faced in the league and it’s true - when we were talking about the PPV to celebrate ten freaking years our stable has been around - there was NOBODY else I was interested in. If I’m going to be the best, that road needs to go right through Chloe. Right now, she is at the top and has what’s mine. That has to change and it’s going to. Tonight.”
Both girls making firm declarations leading into their match as the fans are hyped for this match, which third time should be the charm for yet another awesome bout between two of the top fighters in the league.
Chloe coming in wearing a red bikini top, with matching gloves and bottoms - hair short around her face; Emily clad in a yellow bikini top with matching gloves and bottoms - hair in a battle bun. Emily staring down at the bantam belt, but more importantly, at her rival as the ref wisely steps in between them and orchestrates them touching gloves - which lasts only a moment before they are sent to separate corners. Warnings are issued and then, the ref does what the crowd is chanting for - get out of the way and let them fight! The bell rings...
R1: VanCamp dukes up, chin tucked, stepping forward with purpose, but not showing a jab: Chloe's just hooking aggressively. Bennet waiting on Emily, slide-steppin' back a smidge, then fitting VanCamp for a thick, sticking hook just inside blonde right hip - small mitt biting in PAK! Chloe quick-pivoting away to her left, ghosting out of range, luring VanCamp forward. Straight right hand - hesitation delivery off a feint - explores Emily's sturdy defences up top: Chloe pivoting away to her right. Bennet landing her single hooks to the body - peppering blonde the jab - stepping out and walking around to turn Emily. Chloe a vision of lithe, confident brunette outclassing confident blonde in the first.
R2: Emily unpacks the jab, renegotiates terms. Chloe unable to potshot at will - she backs away frowning, soon hits ropes. Emily creeping in, crouched low - she paws the jab up top, sweeps the right roundhouse hard above Chloe's left hip; tucks the hook in firm to flat tummy, then doubles the left uppercut off the body to brush Chloe upright. Bennet under intense pressure - rolling and blocking on the spot - then spinning out of there, buying herself some space with her feet. Emily quick to pursue - spitting out the jab, right hand protecting her chin as she scoots forward - she hounds Chloe to far ropes and continues slamming assault on Bennet's firm midriff. That's the way of it - Chloe absorbing Emily's strength on the apron, then spinning out of there - VanCamp hounding her foe to fresh patch of ropes and working diligently to break her down.
R3: Emily the aggressor this time around - Chloe grimacing, finding it hard to elude her persistent tormentress. Bennet herded to ropes and beaten about her arms, torso and tummy - Emily very brawny getting off, biting her mitts off Chloe and turning the punches over so that VanCamp's elbows come up and out on follow-through. Midway through, Chloe tries to punch her way off the ropes - girls trade blunt right hands to mouths: Bennet TAKES A KNEE! Chloe quickly up - just sort of blocked to her right knee by the collision - but Emily's nostrils are flaring at the sight of Bennet's magnificent legs suddenly looking questionable. Chloe resorting to brisk shoeshine-flurries to get Emily covered up, then spinning off the ropes: VanCamp unhurt by any of this - it's smokescreen punching designed to facilitate Bennet withdrawals.
R4: Bennet retreating, turning at the ropes, luring Emily: VanCamp cautious, but aggressive, always coming forward, moving her head well, jabbing smart, finding her range and continuing to put leather on taut Bennet meat. Chloe fitting Emily for the odd glorious potshot - particularly that stepped-in hook to ribs when Emily's stooping forward behind her mitts: when Chloe hits it, Emily's lips part as she sighs upon receipt. But no follow up from Bennet - she'll score a firm touch, then scoot away - allowing Emily to walk her down and land 4 or 5 sturdy, clubbing blows at the ropes until Bennet can houdini out of there. Cat and mouse all over the ring - but Emily's looking stronger, carrying the rounds here through 4.
R5: Emily disciplined on all fronts - she's using her jab, pressurizing Bennet to ropes, and when she's in close, Emily's working. VanCamp chugging away to tummy with robust bursts - brawny little shoulders rotating as she generates thumping hup-hup. Huddie raking Chloe's glossy ribs and flanks on either side - biting off the punches tart - using raised elbows to nudge and bump on follow throughs. Bennet scowling - taking a beating: she's got good defensive instincts - almost never taking a clean punch to her head as she rolls and dips and blocks - but sheer weight of volume giving VanCamp too many minutes through 5.
R6: Chloe stands her ground, tries to bang for respect: Emily makes her pay. VanCamp gobbling Chloe's right hands without complaint, but Emily's stubby rights are shaking Bennet, wobbling her buttocks and forcing her to stumble away with concerned eyes. Both girls digging hard hooks to quivering tummies - both taking these blows well - but Emily's able to body up and bump Chloe back afterward, basically walking through the smaller woman. Bennet digging in, fighting hard, but this isn't good for her: Emily landing her finest, cleanest blows with Chloe parked right in front and midway through - Emily puts Chloe down with a left to the body/left uppercut to chin that has Hayek clapping prettily at ringside. Final minute - Chloe's looking haunted, scuffed up, discouraged - she runs for it, denying combat to get herself out of a disastrous sixth.
R7: Bennet gets an earful in her corner, comes out to execute what she's been told. Chloe creating distance, turning and steering Emily, walking blonde into potshots. Feints from Chloe have Emily crouching - Bennet able to score with hesitation rights or vicious hooks to Emily's firm midsection, then sidestep while knuckle-pushing her blonde in either shoulder. Down the stretch, Emily bravely walking Chloe down - Bennet's planted 3 consecutive sticky-hooks to Emily's midsection and VanCamp's mouthbreathing. Chloe steps in, sells "hook to body"; Emily drops her right elbow to protect and Chloe chops tidy hook behind the ear instead. Bennet sidesteps left as VanCamp staggers forward - Emily hitting ropes face-first, legs a-tremble: Chloe'S POUNCING! Bennet poke-leading the straight right just to set her balance for vicious hooks - she's TEARING at Emily here. POOR VanCamp! Emily windblown - torso sloshing side to side on her hips - dukes up loose at her face - Emily'S DOWN! VanCamp panting on all fours - drubbed down by volume more than any single punch: Chloe's chest HEAVING, eyes blazing as ref steps in at bell.
R8: Emily coming forward, but looking shabby - she's getting NO useful pressure on Chloe. Bennet dialed in - piecing out the jab as she's sliding back and to either side. Sudden, straight rights - often doubled up: the second one's striking Emily on her drowsy face. Chloe steppin' in that hook - feinting VanCamp into the gloves-up crouch, then depositing that withering bite just in behind blonde right elbow. Emily brave - following Chloe around, but really sponging it up now. Bennet hard-eyed at the bell, giving VanCamp such an obvious looking-over that everyone in the building knows she's scanning for quit.
R9: Chloe ups tempo - potshotting Emily as before, but staying in there to add on extra. VanCamp grunting as she's hooked to the body, then clawed about her head and shoulders: Emily able to soak it, then slug back rights and lefts up the middle. Chloe's face jolting back from hot spank - Bennet gritting her teeth, taking a few in order to land a few, hoping to get Emily out of there. Bruising shoulder to shoulder trade drifts to ropes - Emily's on top, slowly taking over. Chloe mouthbreathing - reaching to tie up behind Emily's elbows: VanCamp won't have it - shoulder-bumping furiously, then plowing away chugging right/lefts to offending tummy. Chloe stops punching - hunching forward behind her mitts: EMILY’S ISSUING BEATDOWN! VanCamp bares her teeth - ponytail swishing side to side as she squares away and unleashes hell. Scrubbing side to side so tight, the mitts are bouncing off Chloe's hairline as she leans forward - then VanCamp's BURYING her left hook in behind Chloe's elbow, shouting in triumphant with each scoring blow. Right hands loop up underneath, taking Chloe cruelly in her tummy, punching the breath from her - it's just a Emily VanCamp jailbreak. AND THE REF JUMPS IN! Chloe gasping as she's cradled to ropes, shuddering in the man's arms as VanCamp yelps for joy: Emily's the TKO9 victrix and the NEW Bantamweight Champion over her rival in an early FOTY contender!
AFTER: What another match between those two as it’s clear neither of them will ever back down from the other. Emily VanCamp just bellowing out into the crowd, pumping a double bicep flex and really taking pride in being able to batter her rival for the win as she mounts a corner. Emily beaming as she hops off of the corner and turns around to see her rival being helped out of the ring as she runs forward, just gripping her hard by the arm to spin her around to face her, as if to say ‘not yet.’
Emily then steps backwards to accept the title as she goes to slide it around her waist, eyes locked with Chloe’s as she pats her firm abs and then gives Bennet a wink. Chloe seething, chest rising and falling, eyes narrowing as she goes to step forward as if she plans to go another nine rounds with Emily right now, but cooler heads prevail as several of her stablemates lead a furious Chloe in the opposite direction.
Emily beams, licking her lips with excitement as she addresses the press: “You’ve all heard about how Chloe refers to herself as the ‘Next Big Thing’, which is cute and all, but it ignores the fact that there is a CURRENT big thing and that’s me. I’m kind of a big freaking deal at bantam and that’s why I took MY title back from Chloe. Bennet doesn’t deserve these belts and I do. Anytime she wants to learn why I’m tougher and better, I’m right here. Right on top!”
