Jennifer Lawrence vs Courtney Tailor result:Lookout/hard work:simgrrl
(J-Law: 27yo, 5'7", 132#, 25-16-1) vs (Tailor: 21yo, 5'8", 127#, 4-1-0)

Before: Tailor described by a celebrity boxing beat writer as "a work in progress." If so, she's progressing rapidly indeed. In five fights, she's lost just once - to a bigger, heavier, opponent (Antje Utgaard). Otherwise, she's had her way with some well-respected opponents including model Gigi Hadid and, most recently, Khloe Kardashian.
Courtney Tailor is a fitness model, athlete and actress in addition to a bikini model; always in great condition which has been an advantage in her short boxing career. While Courtney took off like rocket from the beginning, Jennifer Lawrence had to build her reputation through a series of developmental fights until she is now considered one of the top light and welter fighters in FCBA.
During the recent purchase and reorganization of what is now "Chimera" Lawrence was designated as a full-time welterweight, but despite the bookkeeping, she's continued to fulfill her prior commitments and that hasn't gone well for her.
In fact, Lawrence had a Holiday Season from Hell; losing three of four from December 1st thru January 26th with little time off between fights to rehabilitate her body and rest her battered psyche.
Dec 01: J-Law beat Missy Peregrym, KO6.
Dec 29: She lost to Kira Kosarin, KO4 in a JMDD bout.
Jan 14: She lost a title elimination fight to Taylor Swift, KO3
Jan 26: She lost to Miranda Kerr by KO7 in a consolation fight after losing to Swift.
Now, she's jumping right back in the fire facing a tough fitness toned muscle girl who's given everyone she faced fits with her aggressive and hard-hitting style. "Lawrence is making a big mistake facing me so soon after getting her famous ass kicked by two women who couldn't touch me if I paid 'em to," Courtney says, dismissing the abilities of both Swift and Kerr. "When a girls on a losing streak, she should find an easy mark first, not look for the meanest junk yard dog in the lot. She'll rue the day she said yes when they asked her to face me!"
In Lawrence's corner tonight are Chimera's head trainer, Jeri Ryan and their welterweight trainer, Ronda Rousey. Sitting ringside is Chimera head woman herself, Stephanie McMahon - on hand to see her girls in action with Charlize Theron also on the card.
Jen Lawrence her usual breezy, devil-may-care, self, shrugging off talk of a "losing streak" when asked by reporters as she attended the opening of her new film, "Red Sparrow" in which she showed some of her fighting technique by kicking stunt actors around the set. Lawrence arriving back in town a week before the fight, hitting the gym "to work out some kinks from the flight" then off to do another TV interview. Not the usual run-up to a serious fight by any means.
Lawrence in a sturdy, full coverage, baby blue bikini; white gloves and shoes; Tailor working a red hipster bikini; with black gloves and shoes. Both women's hair in a French twist. Referee Stan Bymee in black slacks, black and white striped shirt and black shoes with pomaded black hair (to match his heart!)
* * * * * *
During R1: Tailor out eager to see how much Lawrence has in the tank; getting off quickly with a sharp combination that hurts the blonde in the first minute. Tailor staying on top of the hurting blonde; battering J-Law along the ropes and not taking her foot off the gas as she hammers Jen's lush body with both hands. Lawrence reeling in disarray, managing to keep her hands up for the most part; taking many of Court's punches on her gloves, forearms, or shoulders - or partially blocking or deflecting them - still, she's being hit though with some of the power reduced by her partly effective defense. No doubt that Tailor put up a huge number in the first, but she was unable to get Lawrence off her feet and as they trudge back to their corners - Jen achy and Court arm-weary - both know they're going to have to do it all again!
R2: Rousey and Ryan earning their new, bigger, Chimera, paychecks between rounds trying to get Lawrence back in shape to fight. J-Law young, sturdy, and eager to show the fans she's better than she looked in the first, up on her feet before the bell pounding her gloves together. Courtney too up before the warning buzzer; two top cats glaring across the expanse of canvas separating them as they await the bell to go forth to destroy their rival.
Courtney again unleashes a flurry of punches as soon as she's in reach of Jen, but this time Lawrence is ready and she not only blocks most of them, she is ready to return fire. They two women stand toe-to-toe trading punches until...slowly and almost imperceptibly... Courtney Tailor takes a step back; then a second step back. Jen Lawrence slowly, but with grim determination, drives Courtney back into her corner, then stacks her up with her back on the turnbuckles and batters her young body with mean-spirited determination.
Tailor, gloves at her cheeks, elbows tucked in, suffers a severe beating and only survives because she's able to protect her chin and her torso; letting Lawrence wear herself out slamming her fists into her ribs, flanks and batting Tailors gloves back into her face as J-Law vents her anger on the younger fighter!
At the bell, Tailor slumps into a seat on the middle turnbuckle as her seconds scramble up the steps with her stool; her eyes fixed on Lawrence's jiggling butt as she struts proudly back to her corner. If Courtney hadn't realized it before, she knows now... she's in for a tough fight!
R3: Courtney Tailor is a fit young athlete who doesn't need much time to recover as everyone finds out when she comes out for the third round as if the second had never happened! After Lawrence lands a couple of hard combinations that clearly sting her, Tailor tees off with several of her own, then bodies up to J-Law and pushes her back onto the ropes where Courtney holds her chest-to-chest as she bashes away with both fists to Jennifer's body.
Lawrence fighting back stubbornly, unable to get Tailor off of her as they trade body punches through the second minute of the round. Second half of the round, however, Courtney takes command and as Jen's punches start to lose power, Tailor's seem to gain in strength. Closing seconds of the round find Jen being battered backward once again, her butt jammed in Courtney's corner right above where Adriana Lima is sitting between Odd Man and Christina Ricci, all three of them beaming with pride as their "little girl" puts on a show for the old folks! Courtney's juggs a-jumpin' and jigglin' as she pumps her fists into J-Law's mid-section; the impacts sending tsunami waves rippling through the nubile blonde's fleshy body as she folds forward into Courtney's arms to be jacked up and battered some more until she's saved by the bell... as Courtney Tailor wins the third round on points wide to take a 2-1 lead in rounds after three action-filled frames!
R4: Back-and-forth momentum swings back for the third time in this round as neither girl is willing to take the first backward step and Jennifer Lawrence shows she too has recuperative powers as she rallies off her stool to take the fight to Courtney, who may have punched herself out with last rounds non-stop assault on Fortress Lawrence! Jen landing with her first salvo, a crucial factor in winning each of the first three rounds for both. Big left hook, right cross combination from Lawrence buckles Court's knees in the opening minute followed by an inadvertent elbow to the chest after Jen missed a sweeping uppercut sends Tailor reeling back to the ropes in pain which sets her up for some criss-cross body punishment that seems to sap her strength. Lawrence with her forehead on Tailor's chest, pumping both fists into Courtney's belly, sucking the air out of her as J-Law showing the most sustained attack she's been able to in several months!
But as Jen Lawrence begins to run out of energy, Courtney is able to start to regain the upper hand, pushing Jen back, then turning her to slip away off the ropes, making room for herself to maneuver in the open. Lawrence, forced to chase, and missing with right hands, leaving herself vulnerable to counters and, time and again, Courtney Tailor answers a Lawrence miss with a hard hit!
Lawrence, clinching, is able to use her weight effectively to bully Tailor to the ropes where she can land body shots while going cheek-to-cheek and chest-to-chest with the busty blond youngster. Tailor pushing Jen back, lands one or two punches before Lawrence reasserts her weight advantage to again smother Courtney's punching while she again batters her body.
Referee Stan Bymee kept busy trying to separate them, his hands on their chests as he tries to push them apart probably has both women considering signing up for the next #MeToo protest march, but it doesn't keep them from slugging one another in the head or body in the way, either! A couple of times the referee is slapped or cuffed (apparently he's just in the wrong place at the wrong time) but neither fighter seems to mind in the least (judging by their neglecting to do anything to show remorse!)
Final seconds of the round a microcosm of the whole, with both women throwing leather like fishwives at a shoe sale, willing to accept one punch to throw two. At the bell, it looks like Jennifer Lawrence's round on points, but narrowly.
R5: Lawrence out quickly, trying to regain the advantage she held for most of the fifth round but she runs into a stubborn Courtney Tailor who is equally intent on continuing her last minute domination. Both women swing for the fences, but it's Jen Lawrence who connect! Tailor rocked, then knocked onto her butt by a right flush on the side of her jaw! Courtney sprawling on her back by the ropes, blinking as she looks up and sees TWO Jennifer Lawrence's looming above her!
Referee Bymee pushing J-Law toward the far corner as Courtney shakes her head trying to quiet the little blue birdies chirping as they flutter around her. Tailor struggles to one knee, needing help from the ropes as she pulls herself up, swaying unsteadily as the referee gazes deep into her eyes. She hears a voice telling her, "You are sleepy...very sleepy...." Courtney shakes herself, refusing to listen to the conscious voice in her head warning her not to risk further damage. Instead, she slaps her gloves together and nods when the referee asks if she's alright.
"February!" she tells him, nodding firmly. It seems she's convincing as he allows her to continue.
Lawrence charges in, eager to finish off the unsteady young blond; a right whistling just over Tailor's head when she ducks at the last second. Jennifer throwing everything into her frantic attack, battering Courtney back across the ring; pursuing her along the ropes windmilling punches. It seems Lawrence has forgotten all her training in the dogged chase; never pausing to set herself or using combinations; simply swinging in blind rage as she charges ahead.
Courtney Tailor in headlong retreat, unable to hesitate long enough to counter; barely able to stay on her feet, still suffering the aftereffects of her knockdown. But with her back to the ropes in J-Law's corner, Tailor has no choice but to stand her ground and fight! And fight she does! Lawrence lunging, off balance, leans into a Courtney uppercut and the blow nearly knocks her down but her forward momentum carries her into Tailor and they clinch, Jennifer's arms draped around Courtney's neck; the two of them nearly tumbling out between the ropes but get so tangled they stay upright and the referee is forced to separate them and back them both off.
The closing seconds of the round are all Courtney Tailor who batters the still-dazed blonde actress with both fists until it looks like Lawrence is about to go down when the bell rings and the referee jumps in as Tailor is winding up to prevent her from hitting J-Law after the bell. Both women exhausted, battered and bruised; Lawrence with a cut lip, Tailor with a swelling knot over her left eye. Jen's knockdown in minute one somewhat offset by Courtney's late surge, but the judges still saw it as J-Law's round by a wide margin.
R6: Tailor picks up where she left off in round five as Lawrence is slow off her stool and barely avoids being caught still sitting stupefied in her corner. She rises just in time to block a right hand that knocks her sideways along the ropes. Courtney follows with her, hammering right after right into Jen's ribs as she slides sideways the entire length of the ring to the next corner. There, Tailor traps her and batters Lawrence's body with hard, targeted, lefts and rights; taking her time; often stopping to push J-Law upright, then slamming two or three paunch punishing punches into her middle before Jen crumples in pain; her hands groping blindly for Courtney's hips trying to clinch.
Referee closely watching, but not showing any inclination to interfere with Tailor's fun at this point. Courtney just turning her hips, putting the weight of her heavyweight butt into each and every shot; taking her time and pausing whenever Jen isn't in just the perfect position, then teeing off with two or three or four quick shots, then hesitating again. It's a dominant performance by the young fitness model and stunt woman and she's showing why she's so highly regarded.
DOWN GOES LAWRENCE! Jen dropped on her butt by a hard right below her bellybutton that doubles her over then she just sits straight down hard; her bosom bouncing in her bikini top. As Court glares down almost daring her to get up, Jen sits looking up at her numbly, not moving until the referee pulls Tailor away and takes her to the opposite corner. Only then does Lawrence roll over and struggle to her feet, standing with her arms hanging limp at her sides. When the referee asks if she can go on, Jen nods and slowly raises her gloves.
As soon as she gets the nod from the ref, Tailor jogs back to Lawrence and rips into her, bashing her back onto the ropes with more terrific body shots that send ripples through the heavier woman's body. But Lawrence refuses to go down and as the round nears its end, she's fighting back with renewed vigor - showing more than she had in the first couple of minutes and at the bell, it's Lawrence who's moving forward and Tailor backing up! Courtney Tailor dominates most of the round; scores a knockdown in minute two to - despite Lawrence's late rally - win the round...wide.
R7: Jen Lawrence a wreck in her corner, but refuses to quit on her stool, brushing off Ryan's hand on her shoulder as she rises at the warning buzzer. Courtney grinning as she steps out to finish off the brazen blond beauty who dared to challenge her and now will pay the price of her hubris! Tailor right back after Jen's body, drilling her left fist into those abs, bringing the right up from her knees, hammering away at Lawrence's bikini bottom waistband! Every so often a punch drifts a little low, but you wouldn't know it by the way the referee stands watching without any hint of a warning!
Lawrence being systematically taken apart, piece-by-piece. First her legs; then her lungs; now her abs are the target of Courtney's attack, bashing and battering her way into Jen's kitchen until the breathless blonde can hardly stand without hanging onto Courtney; using her to prop herself up to take even more bodily abuse!
The end - when it came - was long overdue, and welcomed by much of the crowd who had seen enough to be convinced of Tailor's superiority (at least on this night!) Two hard uppercuts just below Jen's bellybutton double her over, then Courtney braced her with her left hand on Lawrence's right shoulder, wound up and brought that devastating right uppercut sweeping up from her ankles to smash into the jutting jaw of the blonde actress.
J-Law almost lifted off her feet, crashes backward to land at the referees feet, tits up! Give the girl credit, as the referee shoos Tailor away, it's all Lawrence can do to roll over, then struggle trying to get to all fours. Jen pushes up, raising her ass, but then collapses back down, her arms and legs splaying outward and she lands spread-eagled with a sweaty splat of her bosom on the mat.
Lawrence doesn't move as the referee completes the count out; and not when Courtney Tailor saunters over to pose with her foot on Jen's smooth, soft, curvy ass. Courtney Tailor your winner with a stunning, KO7 of a badly battered Jennifer Lawrence!
After: Courtney Tailor wins a stunning KO7 upset victory - totally dominating Jen Lawrence the last three rounds of the fight after the first four had been more or less dead even and she takes her well-earned postfight strut around the ring, pausing briefly in Lawrence's corner to make sure Jen is awake and alert enough to watch her pose and preen for the crowd. But there's no walk of shame...
Tailor bouncing out to the podium even before the press was in their seats, gushing about how "excited" she was to have beaten "the great Jennifer Lawrence so easily." Then Courtney went on and on about how hard she'd worked since childhood, and how this was her dream all along - "to kick the butt of an overpaid Oscar winner" adding, "I never imagined I'd beat a Kardashian, Katniss and Mystique in my career, let alone in a row. It's all too much to take in."
Courtney went on and on until a blonde reporter from a farm implement magazine, asked the obvious question, "Why no walk of shame?"
Tailor bristled at the question, pointing out (rightly it would seem), "Because, losing to me is nothing to be ashamed of. I'm a damm good fighter and I hit hard and often. I'm X-pected to beat girls, so why should there be any shame attached when I do!"
Courtney was full of herself to be sure, but looking at her there's no denying the righteousness of her position - as she took great pains to explain ad nauseam. Finally, it reached the point that Tailor had to be pulled off stage so the next woman could get to the microphone.
Jennifer Lawrence, however, was "too battered to face the media" according to her spokeswoman, Stephanie McMahon, who appeared and read a brief statement before she, Head Trainer Jeri Ryan and Lawrence's personal trainer, Ronda Rousey, disappeared into Lawrence's locker room.
Shouts and loud voices were heard through the closed door, followed by a couple of screams followed by sound of a several loud slaps (or spanks) then more shouting and a couple of what may have been angry screams.
After that it fell deathly silent until Stephanie McMahon came bursting out the door and stopped short. She looked surprised to find a clutch of reporters lying in wait. She glanced back into the locker room and quickly pulled the door shut behind her. "Go away. There's nothing to see," she told the reporters,
A well-upholstered blonde reporter - a regular on the FCBA beat - muttered, "Yeah, but there's plenty to hear!"
McMahon grew flustered and so angry that at one point she threatened to drag the blond out to the parking lot "...by your brunette roots and kick your ass."
Cooler heads prevailed, however - to the disappointment of several in the media who thought the blonde could have held her own - and McMahon calmed down to the point she agreed to give them a quote just to get rid of them. "OK, Look. I was disappointed by Jen's performance tonight, that much was obvious. She hadn't been properly prepared for this fight. I take some of the responsibility for that. I've been busy matchmaking; you'll note I got Lawrence two prime fights with Swift and Jenner. Sure, she lost both but I assure you, that says more about our training staff than my obvious talent as a skillful matchmaker.
"Still, after that debacle with the 'bantam one-hand' thing - and now these recent upset losses - it's clear more oversight is required. We'll meet later tonight... and into the early morning, I trust... as long as it takes to find and root out the cause of the problem. And we will find and fix it...either as a team, or if need be, I'll do the job myself," she huffed angrily.
"Nobody... no one person in Chimera is indispensable... well, I am, of course; but no one else!"
In the days that followed, rumors of a rift at Chimera "unlike anything the FCBA has seen since the days of Kim's KruZherZ" circulated - to the delight of many who longed for "those exciting days of yesteryear" - the personal opinion of a blond columnist who asked her name not be revealed, but who - for the sake of full disclosure - we will identify only by a brief physical description as a beautiful blond reporter with an (as yet) unkicked ass...unless you consider she picked Lawrence to win this fight by a KO4 as being some kind of an ass-kicking - which we're sure Stephanie McMahon does!
