Intro:
The New Blood flyweight final sees two girls with different
backgrounds fight to become the second ever winner in this division,
singer Zara Larsson fights actress Abigail Breslin for the title.
Swedish singer Zara is 19 years old, 5'4 and won her debut fight
against Katherine McNamara with a 7th round knockout to get to the
final.
While American Actress Abigail is 21, 5'1 and won her own debut with a
5ty round knockout of rival Ava Sambora to get to the final.
The final face off after Abigail had won her fight showed how
combustible both can be, while they didn't get a chance to throw a
punch or a slap, they both fired plenty of expletives at each other to
make a sailor blush.
Both reportedly admitted that they had lost their cool due to being
hyped after winning, but neither would apologize either for what
happened.
At the press conference, both fighters met up and squared up to each
other, those angry looks on their faces make the journalists present
wonder if they are going to fight, a few words are being exchanged.
But whether they've been warned to not start trouble, they back off
and head to their tables, organisers can be seen wiping their brows as
nothing happens.
Zara is asked to speak first, smiling warmly as she says "almost there
guys, I'm planning on putting on a performance for the ages to show
why I belong here with the best"
She adds "I know Abigail won't be easy to beat, but I'm not afraid of
you, in fact I am going to relish putting you on your fat ass on PPV"
Abigail's face turning bright red, it was words like that, that caused
her feud with Ava Sambora, a scowl forms on her face as she stands up
ready to for Zara, but a security guard steps between them, seeming to
calm her down enough to sit back down.
She fires back "at least I have an ass, what the f*** is that bony
thing you carry around, at least men know they are with a real woman
with me" that gets Zara upset, as she blushes and mouths "bytch"
Abigail adds "I'm going to shut up little bytches like this, those who
think they can say what they want and no one will stop them, I'm going
to stop you in that ring"
Both girls seem sick of talking as they stand up and look to get at
each other, security guards intercept the two before they get a chance
to even lay a finger on the other, more bad tempered words being
exchanged by the two as they are led off stage.
Fight night, out comes the special referee first, the legendary Lucy
Liu comes out wearing a referee style tanktop, tight black shorts and
black boots.
She enters the ring to a loud cheer, bowing to the fans to show her
thanks for their support of her over the years, before she steps to a
neutral corner and awaits the fighters.
First out comes Zara, the beautiful Swede is wearing a navy blue one
piece swimsuit with matching gloves tonight, her long hair is braided
for battle.
She waves to the fans with a big smile on her face, she looks excited
for this as this is her first time on PPV, she wants to make it count
with the New Blood title on the line.
She enters the ring, nodding over to Lucy to show respect for her,
then heading to her corner with her expression becoming a serious one
as the time for smiling is over.
Out comes Abigail now, wearing a black one piece swimsuit and matching
gloves, her blonde hair is loose as she begins her march to the ring.
Her eyes are focused only on Zara as she heads to the ring, she is
shaking her arms as she walks to keep them loose as her fans chant her
name, starting rival chants for both girls.
After she climbs into the ring, Abigail keeps her composure, both
women just staring at each other as Breslin heads to her corner and
begins her own warm up.
Both are brought to the ring centre by Lucy so she can make it clear
that she expects a good clean fight, the fighters glare at each other
as Lucy looks over both and sighs.
Asking them to touch gloves, there's a quick swipe of gloves, then
back to their corners, ready to fight it out, Lucy nods to the
timekeeper to ring the bell to start 10 rounds of flyweight boxing
action.
Round 1:
Off we go with both girls coming towards each other, Abigail seems to
have learned to keep her guard tight as Zara starts off with her jab
at range, most of the punches landing on the guard.
Abigail tries to lunge forwards but Zara moves back and lands two
punches, a quick right and left to both cheeks of the smaller fighter.
That gives Zara and opening that she tries to take advantage of with a
straight punch that Abigail just slips her head around and steps to
the inside.
Once on the inside, Abigail begins to work the body of Zara, pushing
forwards as she grunts with effort, nearly knocking her head into the
chin of the Swede.
Zara pushing Abigail back and moving out the way of an uppercut,
Abigail hunting down her rival around the ring with Zara firing her
punches off the back foot.
Abigail parrying a left and digs a left to the ribs, then a right hook
up top to turn the head of Larsson, who covers up as the power of
Breslin begins to push her back again.
Onto the ropes goes Zara, Abigail digging away to the body, trying to
drive the air out of her body, Zara fighting to try and get off the
ropes.
The crowd cheering both girls on as the round heads to an end, Zara
pulling Abigail's head down to nearly getting her into a front
headlock.
Lucy quickly shouts at Zara, pulling both girls apart, warning Zara to
keep things clean or the points come off, she gets a nod in reply, but
secretly Liu doesn't think that this is the last she'll be involved.
The round ends soon with Zara getting some good long ranges shots in
through the guard of Abigail, smirking at her.
But Abigail wants more of Zara, Lucy quickly getting in the way of
her, nudging her back and pointing for the girls to get back to their
corners now.
Round 2:
Abigail comes out quickly, stalking Zara around the ring, the slightly
younger fighter moving around her to try to stop being pinned onto the
ropes again.
But she misses a right cross and Abigail steps inside to land a left
to the body and a right cross of her own, forcing Zara onto the back
foot.
Zara trying to land a right hook, missing over the top and Abigail
lands an overhand right that makes Larsson stumble onto the ropes.
Abigail trying to finish this but Zara pulls her into a clinch, both
hot headed youngsters wrestle on the ropes till they trip over.
Lucy has to pull the girls apart and after a struggle, she gets them
apart and as if stopping two children fighting, she steps between them
to stop them kicking at each other.
Getting them up, she tells them that the next thing they do that isn't
legal gets them a point off and then they are disqualified, the girls
seem to calm down as they realise they could lose their dream start to
their career over being stupid.
Both girls bump a glove with each other in some way of apology, before
they get back to circling and snapping out single punches.
Abigail tries to get to the inside, but Zara has her freedom to move
and counter her coming in, landing a left across the actresses cheek
to stop her charge.
As the round is heading towards it's end, Zara is starting to get into
gear, snapping her jab through the guard of Abigail.
The bell rings with Zara bouncing on her toes and a hateful glare on
her face, Abigail shaking her head at her as Lucy steps between them.
She doesn't have to worry about anymore fighting as both seem to have
gotten the message to stop pushing boundaries, both sit on their
stools getting cleaned up by their coach and staring at each other.
Round 3:

punches, but Larsson moves out the way of a right hook towards her
head and snaps a double jab to the lips of her opponent.
The singer starting to time her punches better, stinging the face of
Abigail as she dances around her, Abigail looking angry as she is
landing glancing blows to the body of Zara.

lands two cross punches to press her back, Abigail covering up as she
can't find a way through.

land a right cross, with Zara staying in close, trying to prove that
she can match power with Breslin.
Both slugging it out, the crowd roaring both girls on as they land
hard shots, Abigail though still has the power advantage, pushing Zara
back.
Zara shows her speed though by stepping back and snapping a straight
between the gloves of Abi, before just missing with an uppercut.
The round ends with Zara powering Abigail towards the ropes, she
smiles as she jogs back to her corner, Abi staring daggers into her
back, both girls faces starting to get marked up as they head back to
their corners.
Round 4:
Zara starts off like she did at the end of the last round, bouncing on
her toes around Abigail, using precision punches to connect with the
smaller girls face around and through the guard.
Abigail seems to be stuck on the defensive, not looking as keen to try
and get forwards, her coach shouting for her to try and gets forwards
again.
She finds herself being pressed back, she tries to snap a straight
punch out but she takes a left cross to her cheek and takes two more
punches to knock her head back.
Zara pressing Abigail onto the ropes, she uses her left to keep Abi
pinned behind her guard and starts using her right to dig into the

a right across the cheek of Larsson, ending the round strong as she
backs Zara up with pounding punches to the face of the singer, opening
a small cut to the nose of Zara.

others bodies as they start to redden up, Abi landing the harder
punches but Zara is landing more.
Zara steps back and lands an uppercut to knock Abigail back a step,
she builds off it by landing a straight to her lips and starts to push
Breslin back.
She gets her near a corner, but Abigail nudges her with her left and
lands a right across her chin, now Abi pushes Zara back towards the
centre of the ring.
Back and forth go the girls, trying to get control of this fight, but
finding themselves cancelled out by their opponent.

The round ends not long after with Zara landing a right hook to force
Abigail back, both know that the judges will be having a hard time
separating them.
Both shaking their heads as they get back to their stools, they are
looking to their coaches for answers on how they are going to win this
as they get patched up.
Round 6:
Zara wisely goes back to what worked for her before, she boxes off the
back foot, leading Abigail in and countering her as she steps
forwards.
Abigail though is watching closely, the action slowing down slightly
as the girls try to work out what to do, this is where their rookie
tenacities show.
The singer Zara is the one taking advantage of this lull in the
action, circling around Abi, digging her right around the guard to the
side of Abi's face.
The left eye of Breslin is starting to swell, Zara smirking as she
feels in total control, Abigail covering up as she's forced onto the

for her as she sobs into her gloves, tears of joy as she has won the
tournament.
While the ringside doctor rushes in to check on Zara, who looks to be
napping peacefully on the canvas, her coach stands by looking at her
with a look of worry as blood from her cut strains the canvas.
Soon Zara sputters awake, but she hasn't the energy to get up, so the
doctor has to wave for a stretcher, Zara soon bursts into tears of her
own, embarrassed that ended this way for her.
As she leaves the ring, Abigail does give her a quick look, wiping her
tears away as Lucy comes over to her help her stand up.
Acting like a crutch, Lucy gets the winner to her corner to get her
wounds patched up, the blood washed off her face and a moment to get
hydrated for her big moment.
After all that is sorted, Abigail stands up and walks to the ring
centre, she still looks exhausted, but so happy as she waves to the
crowd, who give her a loud cheer in response.

first Abigail is handed the trophy by one of the organisers Melanie
Sykes, Melanie gives the winner a hug and a kiss on her forehead as
she towers over the winner.

Zara does manage to push herself off the ropes, walking slowly to her
corner as her coach helps her to sit down on her stool, she shuts her
eyes as her coach goes to work on fixing her up for the next round.
Round 8:
Zara somehow makes it out of her control, but Abigail is straight at
her, the Swede trying to fight off the back foot.
But Abigail swats aside a jab and steps forwards to land a right hook
that makes Zara stumble once more, her legs are like jelly and another
right hook puts her down in a heap.
Lucy checks her over; before waving the fight is over as Zara is
knocked spark out on the canvas.
Winner: Abigail Breslin KO Round 8
After:
Abigail falls to her knees, tiredness and her emotions become too much
for her as she sobs into her gloves, tears of joy as she has won the
The tournament organisers stand in the ring with the tiara and trophy,
first Abigail is handed the trophy by one of the organisers Melanie
Sykes, Melanie gives the winner a hug and a kiss on her forehead as
she towers over the winner.
Then Lucy asks Abigail to bow slightly, then with a pin in her hand,
she pins the tiara to the head of Abigail, who wipes away a tear.
Lucy telling her "you are going to be a star in this ring kid" before
giving her a big hug, Abigail not believing this is real as confetti
falls into the ring.
The last New Blood tournament of this year sees Abigail rise to the
top, now it's up to her to use this start to build the rest of her
