Just wanted to clarify that in this tournament, it's all about the Open Weight concept. While we'll start with appropriate weight matches in the first round, things are gonna get really interesting as the tournament progresses. Fighters might find themselves facing opponents from different weight classes—talk about a true test of skill and adaptability! 🌟💪
The real qualification is that the fighter must have appeared in Sports Illustrated. So Kelsey Merritt qualifies for sure!

Quick update. I would love to involve as many Managers as possible. There are at least 16 fighters out there, probably many more, that qualify for this tournament. Plus there are plenty of free agents already in the FCBA that could be independently managed.
Things will probably go smoother if we make the matches "unofficial" so that it does not screw up the weight class records. We could also introduce a Fantasy Fight League, so people can "bet" throughout the tournament.

Keep coming up with these ideas. I’ve thrown a lot of stuff at the wall over the years that hasn’t stuck. I just (like writers do when something bombs) move on and never mention it again. 😁 Thing is, sometimes this stuff goes big. The Gator Brawl and the McCarthy Gauntlet, the Theron Gauntlet and some others. So, when something comes to mind, I go ahead and see if it will work. If not, nothing lost. If so? We have some fun. 😁

We really want to encourage people coming up with creative ideas like this, so keep 'em coming! Sometimes it takes time for an idea like this to come together but in the end, more often than not on here, it's been worth it. We will always be happy to work with you to make as many fun scenarios and stories happen around the FCBA!! |
